Class Levels
Exploratory Art (Ages 4-5)
Perfect for young beginners, this studio will spark children's minds and open up their creative thinking and ability. Children will develop fine motor skills, creativity, observation, and confidence through art. Each project is fun and geared to keep their attention and exposing them to art. Projects include watercolor, drawing, pastels, and air dry clay.
Elementary Foundations
(Ages 6-10)
This is the perfect studio for youngsters who are new to art. The project based lessons teach the fundamental skills of art while having fun at the same time. This is a great way to build confidence before jumping into the more experienced studios at Monarch Academy. Lessons focus on drawing, watercolor, pastels, colored pencil, and air dry clay.
This Junior studio is designed for teenage beginners. You are not behind; you just lack experience, and this is the place to get it. Students are exposed to the elements and principles of design and learn how to create art with them. Our junior studios are the place students begin to intentionally focus on developing specific skills rather than just creating random pieces of art. These skills include paper mache, drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, polymer clay, colored pencil, and pastels.
Junior Foundations
(Ages 11-15)
Junior Explorer
(Ages 11-15)
Once youth are comfortable with the basics of art they advance to the Junior Explorer Studio. Here their knowledge of the elements and principles of design is deepened, and they can begin to take creative license and responsibility for their own work. Students may begin to specialize in specific skill sets. Lessons include paper mache, drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, polymer clay, colored pencil, and pastels.
Adult Beginner (Ages 16+)
Want to experience art, but have had little or no formal training? We all have to start somewhere, and this is the place for you. Join the Adult Beginner Studio to learn the basics of art.
Adult Intermediate
(Ages 16+)
Did you take a few art classes in high school or junior high? Are you an amateur artist who enjoys creating on the side? This is the studio to refresh what you already know and to take your technical skills to the next level. Lessons range from watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting, polymer clay, paper mache, charcoal drawing, colored pencil, pastels, and oil pastels.
Adult Advanced (Ages 16+)
Everyone needs to continue learning including mature artists. This studio focuses on design, professionalism, and quality with an extra focus on individual style. Projects are based on the individual's needs and interests.
